--with-grass nonfatal error?

Description (last modified by Mateusz Łoskot)

Would it be possible to make --with-grass a non-fatal error, should gdal not find grass?

I'm trying to make a GDAL fink package for MacOS X, and rather than having two packages (gdal and gdal-grass), I was hoping to use the --with-grass= and hope gdal will just continue compiling if it doesn't find GRASS rather than throwing an error.

Sorry, but to be honest if someone does "--with-grass" and it isn't
found I would prefer it stop and report this, rather than let them think
it succeeded when it did not.

Looking through the configure script, it seems if you don't specify anything
about GRASS at all, it should include it if found, otherwise not include it.
So it seems the behavior you want should be achievable by including no
grass related configuration switches at all. Let me know if this does not
work out.

Best regards,
