    22I can only guess that there is a slight difference between the gdal_charp.dll file and gdal python .py files. In the very beginning I tried calling functions from gdal python, but they did not work on ironpython 2.7 (which is what Rhino5 is using), so I turned up using c# ones (and successfully have been using them, up until this issue with Azimuthal Equidistant projection).
