    1 There is already support in the current API, check out addPoint [http://www.gdal.org/classOGRSimpleCurve.html] and its variants addPointM() etc. There is also the option of getting number of vertices for the said geometries. getNumGeometries() is also there in the trunk version, not in the releases yet, so you might want to consider that too.
