GML driver: Specifying ElementPath as config option?

Description
The recently introduced option for specifying the ElementPath to find objets embedded into top level objects requires editing the generated .gfs file. Not only the ElementPath needs to be edited, but also all PropertyDefn elements, as the auto-detection of column name, path and type started at the wrong level, when generating the .gfs file.
Wouldn't it be smarter to specify the ElementPath beforehand as config option or similar, so that auto-detection and the generated .gfs file do not need further editing?
