Description
It would be useful if gdaladdo could use Max as a resampling method. For example, when finding minimum safe altitudes along a flight route, people often compute vertical profiles from elevation rasters with very high resolution. This can be inefficient, but I can't tell them to use overviews made with the usual resampling methods, since the highest elevation values are not always preserved. The Max resampling method would solve this problem.
