    1 When building against google libkml-1.3 the libkml_prefix is ignored.
    2 Furthermore, the default install of libkml puts the link libraries in in a subdirectory "libkml", e.g. /usr/lib64/libkml. So, it seems to make sense to add that as a default path to be searched.
