Description
Seeing the gdaldem color table discussion on the mail list got me to think that the GMT cpt files would be a great source of color tables for gdaldem. Wouldn't it be great if gdaldem could be used with the color tables at http://soliton.vm.bytemark.co.uk/pub/cpt-city/?
Btw, QGIS has a new plugin called "1-band raster colour table" (see http://www.bc-consult.com/free/bcccoltbl.html), which seems to use many of the cpt-city palettes.
