Description
trying to compile using the "--with-hdf5=/usr/local/contrib --with-netcdf=/usr/local/contrib" options, and configure fails with:
"configure: error: HDF5 support requested with arg /usr/local/contrib, but no hdf5 lib found"
reproducing one of the conftest.c programs used w/in configure and compiling outside of configure fails w/ "cannot find -lmfhdf":
[jcc@lion gdal-1.6.2]$ gcc -o conftest -fPIC -fvisibility=hidden -L/usr/local/contrib/lib -L/usr/lib64 conftest.c -lmfhdf -ldf -L/usr/local/contrib -L/usr/local/contrib/lib -lnetcdf -lpq -L/usr/lib64 -lpq -lpthread -lm -lrt -ldl /usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lmfhdf collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
Environment is RHEL 5.4, netcdf 4.0.1, hdf5 1.8.3
