Description
From the NITF format page after last update:
GDAL supports reading of several subtypes of NITF image files, and writing simple uncompressed NITF 2.1 files.
SHOULD reading "writing simple compressed and uncompressed NITF 2.1 files" or just "writing simple NITF 2.1 files".
