The file proj-datumgrid-1.5 is only available as .zip. Generally, the rest of the files on the download server ( http://download.osgeo.org/proj/) are available as .tar.gz.

With all due respect, I do not see this as an issue.

Seems to be an inconsistency to me. You have tar.gz for other versions (like 1.3 and 1.4) It's a pity to break that nice pattern by dropping the good old tarball, IMHO.

I'm guessing the previous .tar.gz's were produced as one-off responses to previous requests from gdt but it is not part of the institutionalized process. strk, you have access to download - feel free to produce and upload the .tar.gz.

I wouldn't trust myself in doing it :) Is the institutionalized process inappropriate to modify to account for that ?

The institutionalized process is that I take the previous zip, add new stuff to it and upload it with a new number and hopefully remember to update the web site. I clearly do not remember to also produce a .tar.gz.

How wrong could you get it? Download the .tar.gz, unpack it, zip it, upload it. Ask me to fix permissions on the directory and try to upload again.

Alright, here it is:  http://download.osgeo.org/proj/proj-datumgrid-1.5.tar.gz

@gdt : don't give up, next time I'll try to write a script for this ;>

Thanks very much for proj-datumgrid-1.5.tar.gz; I've moved the pkgsrc package to use the 1.5 datumgrids. (I have no recollection of asking for the other datumgrids files to be made available as .tar.gz, plus they have matching dates.)

Frank mentioned on IRC that matching dates are likely due to a migration.
