PostGIS Install Guide

The following is a guideline to install PostGIS onto most UNIX-like systems from either prebuilt packages (where maintained) or source.

PostGIS 2.1 (still in development)

No PostGIS 2.1 guides available yet, but there are currently no new dependencies either except to take full advantage of new interrupt feature you need GEOS 3.4.0+ For now just follow the 2.1 guides (from source versions)

PostGIS 2.0

• Debian 6.0 (squeeze) - uses PostgreSQL 8.4
