OSSIM Command Line Applications

The following command line applications are distributed with OSSIM.

Core Programs

  • ossim-band-merge Used to merge multiple image files into a single n-band dataset.
  • ossim-chipper Used to render elevation data (e.g. shaded relief).
  • ossim-icp Used to convert an image from one format to another.
  • ossim-igen Used to execute image chains specified in a spec file.
  • ossim-info Used to display metadata for imagery, maps, terrain, and vector data.
  • ossim-orthoigen Used to orthorectify, mosaic, and convert raster data between different formats. It provides a number of operations including subsetting, resampling, histogram matching, and reprojection of data.
  • ossim-rpf Various utilities for managing RPF data.
  • ossim-cli OSSIM Command Line Interface is an application that provides access to various utilities such as hill-shading, automatic tie-point generation, shoreline detection, and many others.
