Beta2 doesn't boot

Description
The beta 2 iso doesn't boot. Unable to find kernel:linux
We might want to use the remastersys method since that seems to result in bootable media and would ensure we have a vm image to publish that's identical. See http://n2.nabble.com/Building-the-Live-DVD-from-the-GISVM-tp3683042p3683042.html

Beta3 using remastersys doesn't seem to have this issue. Remastersys is now 1st option in build_iso.sh

Replying to wildintellect:
can you edit the boot options? and change the kernel to "vmlinuz"?
what files available in /, /boot/, and /boot/grub/menu.conf ?
is it using grub at all or some isolinux magic?
if you are familiar with it and have it working then it's got my support.
