Hi Matt,
This is not a single permission for Yukon Government , this message is just a confirmation that the FileGDB API Dlls can be redistributed.
Feel free to let me know if you have any further questions or concerns by replying to this email.
Thank you Victor,
Is this a single permission for Yukon Government and/or the OSGeo4W
project specifically? or may any other binary distributor also apply
this license?
Thanks,
matt wilkie

Hi John,
For the File GDB API issue, you are correct, the license does make an exception for the FileGDB API, so yes, they can redistribute the DLLs.
Thanks,
Jim

Subject: Laundry list of items
Hi Jim,
Iâ??ve been having some issues with my emails, so Iâ??m not sure you got this message yesterday. I also have an additional item to add anyways, so here goes.
One last question related to redistribution of the File GDB APIâ??s DLLs. The Govâ??t of Yukon would like to build an app the packageâ??s and re-distributes the DLLs for the File GDB API, they are bit confused by some of the wording in the license. I believe the license allows them to do this. Theyâ??re hung up on the following clause in the license:
4.2 Uses Not Permitted
[...]
b. Except as provided herein, Licensee shall not redistribute Software, Data, or Web Services to third parties, in whole or in part, including, but not limited to, extensions, components, or DLLs.
The license seems to go on and make an exception for the File GDB API, so I think they can redistribute these libraries, but I just need confirmation.
Thanks,
John O
