Description

As Mapbuilder is retiring, I'd like to move its domain name to OSGeo, so that the project's archives will remain available without me.

I'm following the process for transferring a domain here:  https://products.secureserver.net/products/domain_transfers/transferinsider.pdf

Domain Name: COMMUNITYMAPBUILDER.ORG Authorization Info: Ask Cameron Shorter or Frank Warmerdam.

The DNS points to:

@ 63.246.7.187

demo 198.202.74.219 nightly 198.202.74.219 api 198.202.74.219

The domain communitymapbuilder.org expires on 23 December 2008.

Change History

  • keywords dns added
  • owner changed from sac@… to warmerdam

  • status changed from new to assigned

The transfer has been initiated. I believe now the administrative contact for the DNS entry (presumably Cameron) will get an email requesting verification.

I've approved the transfer with my DNS provider. Apparently I have till 3 December 2009 to cancel the process, so I assume the process can be progressed after that date. Cameron Shorter.

The transfer appears to have completed. I will still need to update the DNS entries to use custom DNS at pairnic to point to the server, but that hasn't been done yet.

  • owner changed from warmerdam to crschmidt
  • status changed from assigned to new

Does communitymapbuilder use any DNS names other than 'communitymapbuilder.org' and 'www.communitymapbuilder.org'?

Changed 4 years ago by camerons

The only domains that we wish to keep for communitymapbuilder is 'communitymapbuilder.org' and 'www.communitymapbuilder.org'. (There used to be a demo.communitymapbuilder.org but we are not maintaining it any more.)

  • status changed from new to closed
  • resolution set to fixed

Communitymapbuilder domain DNS has been switched to pairnic custom DNS. If you were paying the previous DNS provider, or have an account with them, you can close it at this time.

  • resolution fixed deleted

Could you please let www.communitymapbuilder.org and communitymapbuilder.org point to  http://docs.codehaus.org/display/MAP (instead of 140.211.15.66)?
