Getting the Development Version From SVN

If you have  SVN you can simply checkout the latest OpenLayers code base. To get OpenLayers using  SVN, simply type the following from your nearest commandline:

 svn checkout http://svn.openlayers.org/trunk/openlayers/

The repository is world readable. Write access is limited. If you want to contribute code, send a patch to the list. We'll grant committer access to frequent contributors.

To get the most recent build from the trunk, download or link to the OpenLayers.js dev build.

Getting the OpenLayers 3 on GitHub

 OpenLayers v3 development is taking place in git, with a central repository hosted on GitHub. To contribute to development, it's important to be comfortable working with git. The  help pages on GitHub provide a nice starting place for this.
