Duplicate untiled WMS requests in Safari 5

In Safari 5, an untiled-WMS layer triggers multiple WMS requests on panning and zooming.

I identified this error in my custom application and confirmed that it occurs in the examples too: http://openlayers.org/dev/examples/wms-untiled.html

The initial load seems to only trigger one WMS call, but all subsequent requests are duplicated.

Have tested in the following browsers and the error does not occur: IE 8 FF 3.6 Opera 11 Chrome 12
