wish list for VE

Virtual Earth from Microsoft has some nice features and some glaring deficiencies. What would we like VE to do better? It does not hurt to ask for them.

1. core features of the layer in a separate file to minimize download time. The core methods that we want are:
   • ...
   • ...
   • (perhaps we should document the minimal capabilities of a js library that we want to wrap in OpenLayers.Layer)
2. after calling setCenter, quickly calling getCenter does not always match what was set! create simple example illustrating the error
3. support Safari at least with the core features
4. it seems as if VE moves the image divs inside the map individually which is a hugely bad plan for speed. We think this because: insert illustrating example:
