Description
Openlayers embeded on Joomla Cms works!
Some similar work has been done ... in Vietnam ... by a group of alumni for the Osaka university. [ http://www.foss4g2007.org/presentations/view.php?abstract_id=180]
Unfortunately CMS & open source meant easy access for them and not joomla community assistance & partnership. (they do not provide plugin to be downloaded)
You can read their thesis report in the document. The result is visible in a Thailand University research web site: [ http://gdap.crma.ac.th]/ I understood that google map and openlayers have very close technical approach.
Question: In many countries there is no map available I am seeking to use exactly the same approach as: http://gdap.crma.ac.th - for a joomla based website that provides a search engine for Real estate in Vietnam. http://bactamtam.com for this: I have an exclusive tool that allows me to display multi categories in a google map .. The only missing tool: to display a map with the street names. I have the work done ( On demand I can forward the Openlayers file Lead : Go to \OpenLayers\examples\google-hcmmap.html - with a map of Ho chi minh city Vietnam that would allow me to insert a street names layer on a google map.)
I am looking for assistance, advice on this ! any one has a plugin , or a module ? ready ?? Thanks Frédéric SOTTEAU info(at)bactamtam(dot)com
