MapContext MapServer

Starting with version 3.7, MapServer supports OGC Web Map Context specification.

Definition

A map context is an XML document that

• describes the appearance of layers from one or more WMS servers
• can be transferred between clients
  • maintains startup views, the state of the view (and its layers), and stores additional layer information.
