tileindex wont find files with .shp extension in LOCATION

Reported by: joel@… Owned by: sdlime

Severity: normal Keywords:

Description (last modified by sdlime)

if you make a list of shape files to use with tile4ms, and leave the .shp
extension on the list of files, tile4ms has no problem, and builds an index,
keeping the .shp extension.

but when you use the index file, you get an error "unable to open a
single tile to use as a template."

workaround is to remove the .shp extension from the list of tiles.

tile4ms does strip the .shp extension if it's present. We use it with list of
files that contain the .shp extensions and the indexes do work fine.

Could the problem be something else?

Joel: Have you guys tried 3.7 to see if the problem still exists? Lot's of
changes related to pathing. We now compute paths instead of changing directories.

Joel: I'm cleaning out bugs. This is quite old. Is it still an issue to your
knowledge or can we say it's been safely ignored.
