in the description of mapObj

there is scale attribute.

That is wrong, it should be scaledenom.

I would also suggest to add

NOTE: You have to call prepareQuery(), before you can access this attribute value.

Fixed in r11986. Changed *scale to *scaledenom in the mapscript document. Changed min and max in the explanations accordingly.
