I originally sent this to the user list:

I'd rather see minscaledenom/maxscaledenom implemented at the labelObj level rather than the class. It would allow us to simplify our keywords. I think this is compatible with the object referencing scheme we talked about at the sprint as well.

label minscaledenom and maxscaledenom were added around 5.4 I seem to remember
