Description
Query on Esri ShapeFile returns empty result in MS 5.6 beta 1 & 2. However same configuration works properly for MS 5.4.2

Could you please provide a demonstration of how to reproduce this error? It should include, presumably, a mapfile, data, and the URL to pass to mapserv to demonstrate the problem.
Try to avoid unnecessary dependencies in what you submit (references to symbols files that aren't included, etc).
