FYI, I got no replies from anyone else confirming whether or not they had the
same problem. I got sugestions to enable cookies but I don't think that would
be the issue since I'm using bugzilla on several other servers without any
problem... and I tested with multiple browsers just to make sure as well.

Frank: You modified several bugs in the MapServer bugzilla this weekend. Did
you notice this problem too? Did you have to re-enter your login info all the
time?

3. Yep! asked passwd again (i.e., for previous (2nd) comment) and expecting it
to ask again. So it should be a configuration problem on server side? may a we
need to set a flag, I am not sure but will look around. Let me know if any of
you guys have any comments (vrraju@center.gis.umn.edu).

Daniel,

I have *not* been experiencing the same problem.

Raju, I saw the following in the bugzilla 2.16 release notes. Maybe something
to check?

- A new 'cookiepath' parameter on editparams.cgi allows multiple
Bugzilla installations to exist on one host without problems.
   (bug 19910)

We have bugzilla 2.16 installed at a client's site and it cookiepath is set to
'/' in the config interface and it works fine. So you may want to try that value.

So it works for you Frank, that's odd... could this be a firewall issue? I
enabled cookie warnings and I see the cookie being set when I submit
information, it just seems like my browser doesn't return the cookie properly.
BTW, I have tested with Netscape 7 this time, thinking that it may have been a
Netscape 4.79/IE issue only... but it happens with all three browsers.

Not a firewall issue. I tried from another machine directly on the Internet and
the same happens as well.

test

OK, I removed all my mapserver related cookies, and now I am screwed just
like Daniel. I have to login for every little permission requiring
action. Unfortunately, since my original cookies are gone I can't easily
see what the difference between the new ones (I do get at least two mapserver
bugzilla related cookies set) and what I had before.

This is the first time, I am prompted for password.
