1742,[MS Documentation] Missing CGI map_* variables in docs,jmckenna@…,jmckenna,"{{{
from IRC:

*****

	dpatton	I was looking on mapserver.gis.umn.edu for an explanation of a MS CGI
query string parameter I saw as part of a website's URL: ""map_web_template"".
	-->|	adamhill_work (n=86a3fd7f@c2.ae.5446.static.theplanet.com) has joined
#mapserver
	dpatton	A search only finds 3 references to it - shouldn't there be
something(in the CGI MapServer section?) that links ""map_web_templae"" to the
Template Reference section of the documentation?
	-->|	pakman (n=pakman@216.132.116.100) has joined #mapserver
	FrankW	Is the TEMPLATE keyword not documented in the mapfile reference?
	FrankW	As far as I know virtually every keyword in the mapfile can be set from
the url in this manner.
	FrankW	Though I don't normally use this mechanism.
	dpatton	The only reference to ""TEMPLATE"" is in the Changes section: TEMPLATE
has been removed, since the map_web_template syntax can be used to alter a
template file.
	FrankW	Hmm, funky. It's a mystery to me then.
	FrankW	jmckenna? Any idea?
	dpatton	It seems to me that map_web_template should be listed in the CGI page's
Controls section?
	FrankW	Perhaps. I must defer from expressing an opinion though since I don't
know much about this.
	jmckenna	template - sounds odd to me too, checking
	jmckenna	dpatton: it seems the map_* variables are missing (web_template,
legend_status, scalebar_status, web_imagepath, web_imageurl). i'm trying to find
them in the docs and cannot. i'm also searching bugs to see when they were
added. but thanks for pointing that out, i'll make sure they are added
	dpatton	jmckenna: ok, so it wasn't just my lack of MS knowledge then ;-)
