Overview of changes

  • Since the 6.4.0 release in September 2010 more than 1000 source code modifications have been made to the 6.4.x release branch.
  • Between 6.4.1 in April 2011 and the current 6.4.2RC1 more than 500 updates have been applied.

  • r.univar, r3.univar: zonal support - r45941
  • v.generalize: major bugfixes - r46680
  • v.out.ogr: transactions (major speed up for datasources which supports transactions like PostGIS) - r45943
  • v.kernel: r45407 (#1277) - r45955, r45956
  • i.rectify: new options, to select the resampling method, to set the target resolution, and to control memory usage of the module

Minor module changes

  • g.extension: Better support for building and installing add-ons when the GRASS source code is not available.

Library changes

  • GRASS Python Ctypes interface included - r45937
  • Added 'arrays' support to GRASS Python Scripting Library - r45934
  • GRASS Python Scripting Library - mlist() replaced by mlist_grouped()
