Just installed the GRASS, and try to launch it.

I got a problem straight on. With the message for python: Entry point TIFFMergeFieldInfo could not be found in the DLL libtiff.dll

And I have the following happening on the sh window:

Starting GRASS ...
ERROR: Invalid return code from gis_set.tcl.
Please advise GRASS developers of this error.

is this the OSGeo4W installer or the stand-alone one?

(you are missing the libtiff library; or it it has gone out of date with the one that was used to build your copy of grass; or your system is using a copy of it already installed on your system from something else instead of the one that ships with grass)
