The "i" button in web mapping applications that rely on OGC services needs to behave differently depending on the backend service the map layer is provided through. A WMS layer will require a GetFeatureInfo whereas a WMS will require a GetFeature. In the current state of affairs, separate "i" (queryonclick) buttons are needed to call each services particular query method. This is misleading to users. How can we combine all query info calls to backend services into a single "unified" queryonclick toolbar button ?
