Motions of 2007

Maintenance Contract

Motion: To authorize Frank Warmerdam to negotiate a maintainer contract with Mateusz Loskot for September to December for up to 600 hours at $17USD/hr plus up to $2500USD for travel related expenses for Mateusz to attend FOSS4G. The contract would be in accordance with RFC 9: GDAL Paid Maintainer Guidelines.

T-Shirts and Bug Squash

Motion: To authorize Frank Warmerdam to spend up to $650USD on purchasing 50 "Team GDAL" tshirts, and to authorize Frank Warmerdam to spend up to $350 on food and refreshments for "GDAL FOSS4G Bug Squash" event.

Add Tamas to PSC

Motion: Add Tamas Szekeres to GDAL PSC.

Trac Migration

Motion: To migrate the GDAL project from bugzilla hosted at remotesensing.org to Trac hosted at trac.osgeo.org/gdal, with Howard Butler performing the translation.

Six Month Maintance Contract with Mateusz Loskot

Motion: The GDAL PSC authorizes Frank Warmerdam to negotiate a contract with Mateusz Loskot for 600 hours of GDAL maintenance over six months for $9000.00 USD. The maintenance work will be governed by RFC 9 with an added focus on resolving GDAL provenance issues in order to graduate OSGeo incubation. Frank Warmerdam is designated as supervisor (per RFC 9).

Mailing List Changes

On Dec 29, 2006, Frank Warmerdam motions to:

  1. To create a gdal-announce@… mailing list which is moderated and only used for infrequent GDAL/OGR related announcements such as releases, major bugs, and other major events.
  2. To migrate the gdal-dev@… mailing list to lists.osgeo.org in such a way to preserve existing members, and hopefully preserve settings.
  3. To create a gdal-commits@… mailing list which will be used for SVN commit messages once the SVN transition is complete.
  4. To appoint Frank Warmerdam as lists administrator for the GDAL/OGR mailing lists.
