     4*** NOTE *** : In GDAL 2.0, the Ruby bindings are now disabled (#5880) due to being broken at build time, and lack of volunteers to maintain them.

    46The GDAL project (primarily Charles Savage) maintains SWIG generated Ruby bindings for GDAL and OGR.  Generally speaking the classes and methods mostly match those of the GDAL and OGR C++ classes, but there is currently no Ruby specific documentation beyond this wiki topic.
