     209When using GDAL/OGR installed from one of available binary packages, [http://trac.osgeo.org/osgeo4w/ OSGeo4W] or [http://fwtools.maptools.org/ FWTools], installers configure shell environments automatically setting GDAL_DATA variable to point correct location of supporting files. There is no need to follow the steps explained above.
