Description
I'm using gdal_merge.py (1.9.1) to stack several HDF4 files created using gdal_calc2.py and output to ENVI format. When opening up the resulting ENVI file in ENVI 4.8, I get the following error:
'Problem: An error was encountered reading this header file. Error: "READS: Input conversion error. Unit: 0, File: <stdin>"'
Removing the line beginning with "coordinate system string = ....." from the header file (attached) allows the file to load properly in ENVI. Georeferencing is also maintained properly.

Is there any news on this issue? I am still seeing this on GDAL 1.11.0, and just had someone file a report on one of my packages regarding it: https://github.com/azvoleff/teamlucc/issues/17

This ticket has been automatically closed because Trac is no longer used for GDAL bug tracking, since the project has migrated to GitHub. If you believe this ticket is still valid, you may file it to https://github.com/OSGeo/gdal/issues if it is not already reported there.
