Description
Carol Rydzak reported (http://lists.osgeo.org/pipermail/gdal-dev/2009-September/021886.html) :
I am trying to use GDAL utilities (on a Solaris 10 system) against CIB files (from a CD) to convert them to a single NITF image. When I run gdal_translate, it doesn't seem to accept the a.toc, but it does create a one-to-one nitf image for each CIB file the command is run against.

r17617 (trunk) and r17618 (branches/1.6) : RPFTOC : Remove in-buffer pointer dereferencing in the hope that it fixes a sigbus
I'm closing, but there's no guarantee that it fixes the issue as I have no access to the hardware that would cause the issue. Re-open if problem persists after applying the patch/upgrading to GDAL >= 1.6.3
