I’ve found that gdalinfo reports a PIX file that has a datum code of “D110” (NAD27 for Alaska) as “WGS84.”

I have added support for D110 in trunk (r17009), but there are many unsupported datums. We really need a more systematic mechanism to support PCI datums, possibly based on redistribution of the PCI datum file.
I have not backported this to 1.6 for the time being, but it could be if that is helpful.
