Description
I'd like to use GeoTIFFs with custom datums with GDAL. There was a recent discussion about how to implement user defined datum transformations with libgeotiff (http://www.nabble.com/User-defined-datum%3A-Transformation-parameters-to15656487.html).
Any chance of getting support for that in GDAL?

libgeotiff 1.4.0 now includes an extension for TOWGS84 parameter (see http://trac.osgeo.org/geotiff/wiki/TOWGS84GeoKey ). This has made its way in GDAL in r21923. Closing

It is my intention to incorporate this into GDAL for 1.6.0 release (and first into libgeotiff). But I can't say when I will get to it.
I'm reclassifying this as a defect so I won't completely ignore it, though it is of course an enhancement request.
