OGR: wish for DXF support (using opendxf libs)

may I propose a non-surprising wish for OGR? It were great if OGR had DXF support. Perhaps you are aware of the opendxf library which could greatly support this idea.

There is an AutoCAD(tm)-like viewer which uses this library:

(LX-Viewer is a program that will allow you to open, view and print DWG or DXF files.Files can be saved to DWG or DXF formats from AutoCAD version 2.5 to 2000.)

The libs are here (they may not be bundled, though):  http://www.opendwg.org

So probably the LX-viewer interface could be of help for an OGR integration.

What an interesting feature ! 

Maybe I may sugget another library : dxflib. RibbonSoft offer a dual license for
this library : gpl + commercial license for close source program. The library is
used in an actively maintain program (qcad).

Thanks for the suggestion of dxflib.  Depending on circumstances it might
be the appropriate support library to use, but the obvious advantage of 
opendwg is that it supports the binary dwg files people are likely to have
their working data in.  I am presuming that dxflib is DXF only.
