I think this change should only go into trunk, not the 1.4 branch.

Just to memorize, the zlib update will include also update of libpng.

I updated requested library to latest zlib 1.2.3 and also libpng to 1.2.15.
The update is available in SVN trunk, from rev 10656.
I tested on Windows XP with Visual C++ 8.0, Linux with GCC 4.1.2.
Also, the buildbot passes with all steps.
