== Overview ==

This RFC proposes the creation of a Project Steering Committee to provide community-driven guidance and leadership to the Fusion project.

== Motivation ==

The Fusion project has the potential to be a widely adopted web mapping application platform.  A decision making body that is acknowledged by the community is required to effectively manage the Fusion project, both from a technical perspective but also from an operational perspective (such as OSGeo incubation and the requirement for contribution agreements) that involves both users and developers.

== Proposed Solution ==

The creation of a Project Steering Committee as per these [wiki:ProjectSteeringCommitteeGuidelines guidelines] with an initial membership of Paul Spencer, Jason Fournier, Mike Adair, Chris Claydon, and Julien Samuel Lacroix.

== Implications ==

Once approved, the PSC will have responsibility for making decisions on all project links as per the [wiki:ProjectSteeringCommitteeGuidelines guidelines].
